Shepherd Sweeps 2008 ADDY Awards
Agency "expresses itself" with 23 Golds Three Best of Show awards and overall Best of Show honors
Jacksonville, FL (February 11, 2008) – The Robin Shepherd Group was the clear-cut winner of the 2008 4th District ADDY Awards. The agency stole the show with nearly three times as many Gold ADDY wins as any other agency — 23 in all — plus 12 Silvers, three Best of Show awards and the Overall Best of Show honor, the evening's biggest honor.
The agency's Jacksonville Film Festival work was given the Overall Best of Show nod, along with Best of Show Print and Best of Show Broadcast honors, while Best of Show Electronic went to Shepherd's work with The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.
Other big winners for the agency included the non-traditional "Beware of the 26" campaign for the Florida Times-Union, the out-of-home campaign for The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens and a CSX Safety Animation in the Internet special effects category.
"I think it's a record win," said Gayle Hart, president of the Jacksonville Marketing and Advertising Club (JAX MAC), which sponsored the event, themed "Express Yourself."
"All of our hard work really paid off," said agency president Robin Shepherd. "We have great creative talent and clients who allow us to take projects and truly run with them. In the end, I think it's that open agency/client relationship that makes our creative so successful and really work. I'm very proud of all of our awards this year and of my fantastic team."
